Fall

What does that mean?
In Texas, it means wedding season!

This past weekend was amazing... even blog worthy!  Some of my closest friends and I met in Austin, Texas to celebrate the marriage of Ms. Tara Grant and Mr. Doug Schetzel.

Friday night was a blur that I would prefer not to recap- mostly because I honestly do not remember all that happened.  Something about a dive bar, the erotic version of the spot the difference game, billiards, ex-drug dealer boyfriends (not mine), and Magnolia Cafe.

The Group

We had an amazing brunch that morning at Becky and the Dr's.  The buffet consisted of eggs, bacon, chorizo, and a variety of sauces.  It also included gourmet coffee, mimosas, Bloody Mary's, and some recovering from the night before.

The beautiful bride
November 12, 2011 was a beautifully sunny day, and we all dressed in our wedding best... While waiting for the group to assemble, a few of us sipped iced tea/vodka concoctions out of water bottles.  No need to worry, when placed together, our initials spell c-l-a-s-s-y.

Our dearest TG walked down the aisle and out shined us all... as expected.

The bride and groom made their vows and kissed, and at that moment we lost one Grant and gained two Schetzels.

Then, it was time to get rowdy.

Our HS Group

We ate barbecue and chatted... all the while our liquor of choice being vodka.

Enter... Champagne &&SHOTS

This is what ensued

All in all, an amazing weekend with friends.  Everything that was lost was found, everyone lived to tell the story, and we are all still friends. && congratulations to Tara and  Doug!

suds & bubbles

It's obviously slow blogging time.

Little puppy got a bath the other day.  She doesn't mind them, which is a good thing.

She even got a spout to keep her hair out of her eyes!  (it came out approximately 2 hours later)

the Cove

Today was the day!  K finally came down (last night) to SA, and we finally went out to eat, and finally got to hang out in a place other than SM, for reasons other than my family gatherings.

We sat in this corner bc it was
 the only place with shade!

So... we spent the morning sleeping in.  THEN, we went to grab some lunch at a place called The Cove.  The Cove was featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives &we have actually been there before for breakfast with my family.  Well, today we were there for lunch.  K wasn't very hungry, so it was all about me.  There were so many choices!  Poblano soup, bison burgers, nachos, gazpacho-- no wonder the majority of people in SA are overweight!

Fish Tacos... not what you
might think
We chose the fish tacos and the sweet potato fries.  Both were SO YUMMY.  The fish tacos (or Lisa's Special) came with two fish tacos (with a kick!) and a spinach salad... there was even a cute heart-shaped pita chip on top!  The sweet potato fries came with a dipping sauce that was out of this world, whose main ingredient was probably mayonnaise, but was amazing nonetheless.

Sweet potato goodness!
We rounded out the afternoon with a trip to the Quarry Market where we checked out Charming Charlie's, Whole Earth Provisions, Lululemon, Border's liquidation sale, Victoria's Secret, Club Humidor, and Bed Bath &Beyond.  That little bit of exercise was totally necessary.

K my partner in crime... he's
pretty cute

Anyway, off to bed.  See you through the screen. xo

"I'm so paid"

Ok, not quite yet...

As blogged earlier, come Friday I will invest in a much needed GYM membership.  I would be down to run outside, but seeing as it is going to be 105+ until mid October, I would prefer not to die from heat exhaustion.

On a totally indulgent side-note, I will also purchase this UH-MAY-ZING tank from ASocial.  I will be getting in touch with my inner "bro", which I have been told by many is more of an outer quality than I give myself credit for.

The rest? Will be saved for a move or a future rent deposit... and hopefully not immediately spent on an IPad.

time to... tighten up

Less Hoodie Allen and more Jane Fonda... time to start working out and getting back into shape!

Once I get paid (this friday) I am going to join Planet Fitness in San Antonio.  It'll be a bare-minimum membership, but that's what I'm looking for.  I'm looking to workout at least an hour a day & two hours on days that I don't work.  It is on the way home from work, so that's a major plus --- and because I work at Nike, I'll basically already be in my workout clothes.

Then comes the diet part... fruits and veggies, one meal with carbs each day.  Obviously lots of water &coffee and one CZ a day.

I will let you know how it goes :o)  See you through the screen.

moving

So I know that keeping a blog requires time... but I just haven't had any!!!

My best friend and I just moved out of our apartment, but our last night there was spent taking silly pictures.  With mustaches.

We were at the apartment until 4am cleaning and packing loose ends --- apparently there were a lot of those.  My Mini Cooper was filled- nearly exploding, and I was so tired on the drive home that I was literally hallucinating.  It was craziness.

Where did I move to?  My mother's house.
I will be saving rent money and driving the 45-60mins to work.  My plan is to get into phenomenal shape, and save up a lot of money.  Gym membership coming next paycheck ($10 a month is totally do-able)

Anyway, it's late and I'm still playing catch-up.  Lots of love to my 3 readers.  See you through the screen.

obsession

OBSESSION: It's not just for Calvin Klein any more.

Just before I went to Vail, CO for my yearly lacrosse trip, I purchased a pair of these beauts.  They are made by a company called Man Bro Bro Man, and sell exclusively on Lax All Stars .com.  They are $10 well spent.  I love them as I love my Kate Spades... and they were 1/18th the price.  They are mirrored, so you can people watch to your hearts content - and no one will be any the wiser.

There's a website that I frequent called Good Music All Day .com (referred to lovingly as GMAD).  I stumbled across this website while "bro-ing out" on some lacrosse swag and was lucky enough to find one of my new favorite artists... Hoodie Allen.  Hoodie is a 22 year old rapper from New York with some serious talent.  His lyrics are both insightful and catchy, making him an easy artist to pass on to friends.  Look him up here. What's best, is that via GMAD, you can download all the music you want FO' FREE!  (chicken sandwich and waffle fries not included)

Okay, there's one more that I have been obsessing over for a few months now--- of course, they have been the months that I have been OUT of college, but such is life.  College Fashion .net is an amazing website full of fashion forward advice for any college student &or young professional.  There are also sections of coupons for online shopping and living on the cheap.

Hope that keeps you all entertained while I move and think of new blogging ideas.
