recently

After a busy day of doing almost nothing, I got the urge to blog.
Self-improvement starts now.
So, I went out and bought ---->
The road to self-improvement begins with nice nails! I read a number of reviews from people who "used to bite their nails" so hopefully it will work for me.
In the process of figuring out my wardrobe. Out with the old, in with the new. I have some "basics" but need to embellish. I've been wearing jersey skirts, tempo track shorts, and flip flops for way too long.
Anyway, this is boring for you (whoever you are) so I'll blog back in a few days and report on my nail situ. Hopefully with positive things to say!

ooh la la, c'est comme ca.

I know french is your favorite thing.

Vous ĂȘtes belles, mais vous ĂȘtes vides.... On ne peut pas mourir pour vous.

sometimes, you just have to jump in with both feet.

Been spending the past two weeks at my mom's house. Oh mom. It has actually been quite the "vacation." My dog has a yard to play in, mom buys the groceries, we have been to the beach twice (a 3 hour drive each way), and I have been busy planting different vegetables at the nature center where she works. I have also been able to do things that I want to do. Sleep when I want to sleep, go out with old friends, drink bloody marys at all hours, and work on my resume.

Re-formatting one's resume is pretty exhausting...

I spent about 4 hours the other day doing just that. Changing things, deleting things no longer that relevant, and adding more college accomplishments... realizing that I have worked about 5,000 different part time jobs for all different kinds of companies was pretty distressing because I'm only 23. I guess when you get your first job at 17, it's somewhat understandable.
However, it's better than not having any work experience. I chose my most recent 4-5 to keep. Lucky for me, they all have the potential to be good references.

Applied to a number of jobs via Indeed.com - mostly paid internships that require 10-15 hours per week... on top of 15 hours of school and a possible morning job (3:30am) at the Kolache shop down the road from my apartment... and getting in a regular workout routine so I don't become a total fa-tass.

This year is definitely going to be interesting. Work, graduating, working out, hopefully working for Red Bull, &trying to keep busy. Good thing I have a friend working at Starbucks.

A Pastiche: Not Your Mom's Blog

BLOG.
So often blogs are pretentious ramblings written by someone who assumes that the rest of the world cares. This blog will - most likely - be no different.

This fall is the most important semester in my college career - my last.

There are a multitude of things that I would like to achieve this semester, but whether or not I actually accomplish them will be what makes this blog potentially read-worthy. Plus, if you're reading this, you are most likely close to me and interested in what I have to say. If you are not, but are reading this because you would like to become close with me, then you may be better off just having a conversation with me via real life.

Before I graduate I need to find a job, work on my resume, decide what I would like to do with my Communication Studies major, and repent for all of the bad things I have done during my run as an undergrad ... but my greatest task at hand?

To figure out exactly who I am, and in what direction I would like to take my life.

See you through the screen.
